In order to do anything, you first need some tools. These include wooden swords to diamond pickaxes.
Let us first start with the wooden tools.
The sword is your greatest ally in fighting mobs. You can craft a wooden sword by putting two wood planks above a stick in a crafting table.
The wooden pickaxe can be used to mine stone to get new things like furnaces and stone tools. This is crafted by placing three wood planks over two sticks.
The wooden axe can chop down trees to provide wood which can be turned into wood planks. This can be crafted by placing 2 sticks up right and then place three wood planks around the stick to the left that forms a triangle.
The hoe allows you to make dirt convert to farmland so that you can build a farm to grow crops.
The efficiency increases as you use rare materials such as diamond and gold. These better tools can allow you to get new things you could not have before.
